Gravel processing

Gravel processing and gravel classification are the most important parts of a sand and gravel plant alongside the sand side. Gravel processing can be divided into two separate, yet directly connected parts.

Specifications

On the one hand, the gravel is cleaned of clay, wood and other deposits. On the other hand, classification into individual standardized gravel fractions.

With the help of equipment from our partners, such as sword washers, setting machines, clay grinders, classifying screens as single to triple deckers and many more, we design complete systems in both areas that achieve optimum cleaning and classification of the material at hand.

Energy and water-saving use is also important to us. For this purpose, small buffer silos are usually used upstream of the systems. This means that gravel processing only runs at full load for the required time. This avoids unnecessary empty runs.

We also focus on the use of industrial water. Where possible, parts of the system are operated with solids-free process water in order to maintain shorter pumping distances. In addition, the water charged with sand is fed into the overall circuit as mash water at the pre-screen.

In addition to gravel processing, the pre-screen is a core component of every sand and gravel plant and is at the forefront of the processing process. In this area, too, we can draw on decades of our own know-how and that of our partners. This means we can always develop the best and most cost-effective solution for the customer-specific process.
